Description:
CANview® USB has a USB interface that allows data to be exchanged quickly with a PC. As such, data can be transmitted unfiltered to a PC from CAN bus systems with baud rates of 1 megabit and a high bus load.
The connection to the device is established using a virtual serial COM port that behaves like a conventional RS232 interface in all aspects except for its support of the high transfer rates of the USB interface. Since the device also supports commands issued by the CAN-to- RS232 converter CANview®, the two devices are interchangeable.
The device, powered entirely through the USB port, has a powerful 8-bit microcontroller that can be programmed from a Windows® PC. This enables the device to support even customerspecific CAN protocols or to run capacity-hungry applications without a hitch. CANview® USB comes as an OEM device or in a robust aluminum housing for rugged use.
