Description:
With conventional CAN-to-GSM devices, you are charged for the amount of time spent online with your CAN devices. The CANview® GPRS device range, on the other hand, allows you to transfer data in packets so that you are only billed for the amount of data actually transmitted. This approach allows you to remain in constant contact with your CAN bus system without having to pay high connection costs. Furthermore, CANview® GPRS supports downstream transfer rates of up to 57.6 kbaud.

Another feature of CANview® GPRS is an integrated TCP/IP protocol stack that allows you to communicate with the connected CAN bus system via Internet services and protocols such as e-mail, FTP and basic TCP/IP client/server. Since GPRS is based on TCP/IP, these services are automatically made available the moment the CANview® GPRS device registers with an appropriate cellular network.

CANview® GPRS/GPS and CANview® GPRS/GPS/Voice also provide position data for the device or machine connected via CAN. This technology opens up new, cost-effective methods for fleet management, remote maintenance and remote diagnosis of stationary and mobile CAN bus devices. This device is designed to be used in systems.
