Description:
CANview® GSM uses the Global System for Mobile Communication to exchange data between a CAN bus system and a recipient. With a connection to an existing CANopen network it is possible to send messages directly from the CAN network as a text message, e-mail or fax. Direct data links can also be established (via CSD), and CAN messages can be transmitted transparently worldwide. If the data is received through a CANview® GSM it is possible to use legacy software for remote service that normally requires a direct link to the CAN bus system of the distant vehicle. Hence CANview® GSM is a cost-effective solution for quickly and simply equipping legacy devices with remote maintenance capacities.
All of the features described above also apply to CANview® GSMIII which, apart from a tri-band modem, also feature a powerful 16 Bit controller.
