Description:
The miniMODUL-509 is a continuation of PHYTEC's successful line of credit card-sized microcomputers. The miniMODUL-509 is a performance and I/O optimized alternative to the miniMODUL-537. Its core is the 8-Bit Infineon C509 controller, an expansion of the 80C537. At a clock frequency of 16 MHz it reaches the performance levels of an 80C537 with frequency of 32 MHz. In addition it is equipped with an improved A/D converter, a 3 Kb controller-internal XRAM and 8 data pointers. It boasts the following integrated hardware additions: 4 timers, a 12-channel A/D-converter, two serial interfaces, a Watchdog-Timer, eight data-pointers, six ports and a high-performance arithmetic unit. The board itself features 32 KB external SRAM and 128 KB external Flash, which can be programmed on-board using the PHYTEC FlashTools. All board components are addressable, with controller signals and ports extended to standard-width pins aligning three edges of the board. The miniMODUL-5x7 also has an external address decoder. One of its two RS-232 serial interfaces can be optionally configured as an RS-485 transceiver, allowing the board to be networked with other 8051-based SBCs with RS-485 connectivity. This module can also be configured with software tools. Also of note is the possibility of FLASH-EPROM on-board programming.
Standards Compliance: CE, ISO9001, EMUG
